
The European Free Alliance
Group in the European Parliament visited Pamplona in July
2007 at the invitation of new MEP Mikel Irujo from Eusko
Alkartasuna. The focus of the visit was linguistic policy
and environmental policy, particularly the Basque Country's
approach to dealing with climate change.
Attending the conference
were Maiorga Ramirez MP, President Eusko Alkartasuna in
Navarra, Mikel Irujo MEP, Jill Evans MEP, Vice-President of
Plaid Cymru, Ian Hudghton MEP, President of the SNP.
During their visit the
Parliament of Navarre held their first plenary sitting after
the regional elections.

The
European Free Alliance held a two-day summit meeting in
Edinburgh in January 2008. Pictured are the Presidents

Plaid Cymru from Wales was represented by Vice-President
