SNP President Ian
Hudghton MEP and Dave
Thompson MSP, Highlands
and Islands, are
visiting Shetland on
Monday and Tuesday 28/29
April 2008. They have a
busy schedule already
organised; Ian will be
visiting Urafirth
Primary School on Monday
morning at 10.00am to
speak with some of the
pupils on their European
Union project and is
joining Dave Thompson on
Monday afternoon to
meet with the
Agricultural Panel which
comprises members of
Shetland Isles Council,
NFU, Crofting
Foundation, Livestock
Co-operative, FWAG, and
HIE Shetland. The main
purpose of this meeting
is to be briefed on
their concerns. Later
that afternoon Dave and
Ian are holding a
joint advice surgery at
the Islesburgh Community
Complex between 5.00pm
and 6.00pm.
On
Tuesday 29 April 2008,
they are visiting the
Fish Market at 7.30am
and are then having a
meeting with the
Shetland Fisherman's
Association again to be
briefed on their
concerns and gather
information. They also
plan to visit both a
Fish Farm and Mussel
Growers at Scalloway.
