Equality of Treatment For All

Ian Hudghton (Verts/ALE ) -  I support the Buitenweg report on equal treatment of persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin. Discrimination on grounds of racial or ethnic origin or, indeed on grounds of disability, age, gender, faith or religion, social background or sexual orientation remain all too common throughout the EU. Individual Member States and the EU as a whole must take action to eliminate discrimination in all its forms – from targeting individual incidents on the streets, to abolishing the UK’s archaic Act of Settlement.
